Join Mike Murphy and Maryland Free for an engaging discussion on key fiscal policy priorities and challenges for the new Congress, including strategies to tackle the national debt, advance tax reform, and drive sustainable economic growth.
More about our speaker:
Mike Murphy is Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, where he oversees policy research, analysis, and various initiatives related to fiscal policy and the federal budget. He also directs FixUS, a Committee initiative aimed at addressing the root causes of political divisions and fostering support for systemic reforms.
Previously, Mike worked with the Comeback America Initiative, founded by former Comptroller General David Walker, focusing on federal, state, and local fiscal issues. He has also held roles as a Senior Transportation Program Analyst at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, in legislative affairs at the American Cancer Society, and on Capitol Hill.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from SUNY Albany and a Master of Public Administration with a Certificate in Health Services Management and Policy from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
